For me I often feel stuck when I think of how permanent a tattoo is. I see a lot of cool designs that I like at the time but when I start thinking about the having it permanently done I start to change my mind and look for something else.
A tattoo can represent something different for every person who decides to get one. Some might be commemorating a special event while others might be celebrating the life of someone who has recently passed away. Such a wide array of reasons exist for getting a tattoo that it makes sense that someone would be very curious to know what goes on in the mind of the client, as well as what goes on in the mind of the artist.
In this tutorial, I draw and think in real time, showing how I come up with designs for tattoos. You can see the final version here.
One of the main reasons as to why people really do this type of tattooing is because they want to unravel a story that they are trying to give off. For example, I have seen a famous soccer player that carries a full arm tattoo and his tattoo signifies what he loves, which is soccer and the love for his country.
